It's finally James's turn to go to job interviews today. I'm going along for the ride but it means I don't have to iron nothing or wear nothing that's been ironed.

The interview is in Richmond. Fun fact about Richmond I learned from Abbie: Richard Attenborough is the Lord of Richmond Upon Thames. I assume he will be waiting at the train station to show me around?

In other news, we ended up having an extremely enjoyable day yesterday. We saw Hellboy 2 (see it!) and then headed over to Hampstead to drink Trappist beer at the Spaniard's Inn with Abbie, Tan and Kanishk.

Even I had heard of Spaniard's Inn (thank you, Time Out: London). It was named after a highwayman (presumably Spanish) who terrorised  the road leading into London (definitely Spanish, then).

Anyway it still looks exactly like this:

Except where those guys are standing left of frame has now been christened 'death corner'. (By me and Abbie. The official name change is pending.) It's almost completely blind, it shrinks to one way, there is no room for pedestrians (you have to run/duck around the corner) and expensive cars hurl themselves at it from both sides.

Oh the other major change you probably need to be aware of is that it has the world's most awesomest beer garden. With blue fairy lights for when the sun goes down. Very classy.

Arrived at Abbie's and Tan's place an hour ago.

Neither of them are here. It kinda reminds me of waiting for Christmas when you are a small child. I am really looking forward to seeing both of them (especially Abbie cos I saw Tan the other month. It was okay.).

But when we got to London they were in Italy.

And then on Wednesday night we couldn't swing by.

And on Thursday afternoon we are at their house and they are still not here. Sigh.

But we have queer-eyed the nook so that it is ready for sleeping, we have found their internets (obviously) and now it's just a waiting game.
